TECNA INTRODUCES ITS NEW CONTROL UNIT
TE700 SIMPLIFIED TECHNOLOGY
Tecna S.p.A., a company in Castel San Pietro, has been designing and producing resistance spot welders for both the industrial and the car body repair fields for more than 30 years.
Tecna has recently designed a new control unit named TE700 paying particular attention to achieve a simple use of the product and solve various production problems.
This control unit is provided with medium frequency inverter technology allowing reduced energy consumptions in comparison with single-phase technology and higher welding performances. The quality of the welded spots is repeatable and constant in time.
Despite the stage effect provided by the colourful welding “splashes” produced by the electrodes which even the less expert people have surely seen on television sometimes, this process often compromises the welding quality itself and, sometimes, the operator’s safety too.
As regards to this matter, besides five other modes, the Tecna TE700 control unit is provided with an “adaptive” operating mode named Dynamic allowing repeating a welding spot once defined as optimum even though the conditions of the piece to be welded have varied as it may happen in the following situations: non-uniformly aligned sheets, presence of dirt, grease, rust or whatever else may be in between the two parts to be welded.
Therefore, even when protective materials like films, paper, stickers etc. are present, when set in Dynamic mode the TE700 control unit recognizes an anomalous presence, extends the welding time, re-adjusts the parameters and reproduces the spot as it had been in ideal conditions.
The outcome is an always perfect welding on all metals.
This intelligent system of recognition and self-adjustment avoids material’s projections and allows the metal to be always perfectly welded.
All the welding parameters may be stored, displayed and saved on PC through the foreseen connection.
